Drop Therapy's second release of 2025, "This Magician Is A Cornered Animal" takes a step back from the harder, more aggressive styling's of March's "Bitch," in favor of a much more melodic, building, video-game-soundtrack inspired soundscape. With songs ranging from "Nula's" fifty-four second run-time to "The Star (Santa Clara)'s" seventeen minutes and forty-three seconds, the record proves a wide range of elaborations and examinations of the record's themes of change, disdain, and occasional despair, juxtaposed against the often light, almost dreamy instrumentation of the tracks. "This Magician Is A Cornered Animal" is Drop Therapy's most mature release to date, and will far from leave listener's that are used to the density of DT's music wanting.
